Sun-2-Energy Systems (Hot Water & Hot Air), using Solar Collectors, are designed to collect heat by absorbing sunlight which are typically used for supplemental space heating and hot water applications in residential and commercial buildings.

Solar collectors fall into two general categories which are non-concentrating and concentrating. Solar Collector types generally consist of flat plate collectors or evacuated tube collectors. Flat-plate collectors usually lose more heat to the environment than evacuated tubes and this loss increases with temperature difference. Most evacuated tube systems are more efficient per square foot than equivalent flat plate systems.

Daylight Savings Solar Hot Water Systems have the following certifications: SRCC and FSEC in the U.S.A., Europe Solar Keymark, German DIN, France CSTBat, Portugal NP, and Korea KS. The systems are also ROHS compliant and can be recycled. The key to the water heaters efficiency is a coating developed for warming communication satellite components. This coating absorbs 92% of the energy of the sunlight that falls on the collector. The solar thermal collector needs ambient light, not direct light, so it will even work in cloudy conditions. The energy is then transferred to a copper heat pipe held in an evacuated glass housing, this heat pipe in turn heats water flowing through a manifold which heats the water used during the day. The system is sized correctly to store enough energy for use at night.

Residential Solar Hot Water Applications
A typical American family's hot water usage accounts for between 25% and 35% of their total energy consumption. Our system is includes collector, ceramic lined tank with electric back up heater, stainless steel universal frame, workstation and computerized controller. Residential systems are eligible for a 30% federal tax credit and many states offer incentives such as the $500 state rebate in Florida.

Commercial Solar Hot Water Applications
Many business's use large amounts of hot water for their daily operations and processes. The USDA estimates that an average dairy farm's hot water usage accounts for 40% of the total energy requirements of the operation. Restaurants, hotels, laundries, assisted living facilities, hospitals, car washes and more can see tremendous savings by installing a Daylight Savings commercial solar hot water system.

With current state and federal government incentives the time has never been better to make the investment. Most businesses see a payback time of under a year and perpetual savings from that point forward. Commercial systems are eligible for a 30% federal tax credit or grant in the form of cash and many states offer a rebate or other incentive such as Florida's rebate of up to $5000. Commercial systems are also eligible for special depreciation via the new IRS MACRS rules

These systems are perfect for Federal buildings complying with the new law requiring that 30% for energy for hot water creation to be solar by 2015.

Our systems can also be used to supply heat in cold climates using radiant flooring for interior use or glycol based radiant slab heating for outdoor use for applications such as car wash slabs in freezing climates.

Combined with a lithium bromide absorption chiller the solar collectors can be used to create air conditioning combined with interior heat.
